Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre

Around 300 stairs take you to the dome of Sacré-Cœur. The once so controversial construction has become one of the most remarkable landmarks of Paris. The photos on this page were taken at sunset, a particularly magnificent one. Some Parisians say they use to mount the dome whenever they expect good views. From the top, you can forget the noise of the city below your feet and immerse in dreams. The warm sun strokes the roofs through a light mist, before it disappears, and the city lights light up the violett.
